New Dremel® Multi-Vise Gets a Grip on Anything, Anywhere

Convenient Multi-Vise Features Three Tools in One

MT. PROSPECT, Ill. – January 29, 2007 – The new Dremel Multi-Vise™ offers woodworkers, hobbyists and do-it-yourselfers unrivaled versatility in securing projects and tools for the most precise detail work. By combining the features of a portable vise, rotary tool holder and bar clamp into an effective, three-in-one format, the Dremel Multi- Vise is the ideal way to tackle multiple projects with one convenient tool.

“Whether polishing metal, building a jewelry box, or fixing a broken dish, the Dremel Multi-Vise is a must-have when users need an extra hand,” said Brian Benes, Dremel product manager. “Its unmatched functionality helps Dremel users complete their projects with only one device, instead of three.”

Portable Vise

When used as a portable vise, the Dremel Multi-Vise securely holds work pieces in place for woodworking, hobbies, crafts and home projects. Soft, large-clamping jaws with V-grooves protect delicate pieces, and securely hold round and odd-shaped objects. A die-cast ball and socket on the top of the base unit rotates 360 degrees and tilts 50 degrees to each side, allowing users to lock work pieces in any position.

Rotary Tool Holder

By removing the portable vise from the base unit and replacing it with the tool- holder adapter ring, users can lock in their Dremel rotary tool to use as a stationary sander, grinder or polisher. The rotary tool holder allows for greater project control as users bring work pieces to the steady tool.

Bar Clamp

When removed from the base, the vise jaws serve as a stand-alone bar clamp for securing work pieces. The jaws grip widths of up to 7.5 inches, and provide optimum stability with an extra-wide base. A quick release button makes removing work pieces simple and easy, and a specially hardened diamond-shaped slide bar resists twisting and bowing.

The Dremel Multi-Vise retails for $34.99 and is available at most hardware stores and home improvement centers beginning in March 2007.
