Top Smartphones 2016

With the release of the latest iPhone, it’s easy for many consumers to overlook the number of competitive smartphones that are being released. This may come as a surprise to some, but Apple isn’t the only manufacturer of these phones. It can’t be denied that Apple has been an innovator in this section of the electronics market, but other companies are catching up and adding their ideas to the mix.

It may be worth considering the release of Windows 10, which will come to Lumia smartphones soon enough, and Apple designing an Apple Music app for Android as well. Smartphones are becoming more and more ambiguous. There are features and apps that overlap, and while the iPhone may still be the leader and free cell phone spy one of the best out there, there are plenty of other quality smartphones out there that are definitely worth trying out. That being said, here are a few of the hottest new smartphones, some of which have been released, and others are coming soon to stores and distributors in the U.S.

The Best Smartphones Being Released

The iPhone 7

It doesn’t seem right to make a list about smartphones without providing a place for the next iPhone. The iPhone 7 is going to be the next big release from Apple most likely sometime within the next year. While there is only speculation and rumors at this point, it’s been said that the iPhone will no longer feature the standard headphone jack. Presumably, Apple will have its new phone owners use the lightning charging port for their headphone needs. But this move seems to have been made to make room in the iPhone to make it smaller and more compact (without sacrificing screen size, hopefully).

DROID Turbo 2

This Motorola smartphone features the first shatterproof display in smartphones. The phone also features a battery that lasts up to 48 hours, a 21 mega-pixel camera, and water repellent technology. That powerful battery can also be charged for up to 13 hours of battery life in as little as 15 minutes as long as the battery is significantly depleted. In any case, the phone offers features that smartphone users have been longing for in their phones, and may be setting precedents for what future smartphones will be offering.

Galaxy S7 Edge

Some features of Samsung’s fancy new smartphone includes an edge to edge display screen, and up to 200GB of expandable memory storage. Like the Turbo 2, it also features water resistant technology, which helps protect its screen and ports from experiencing water damage. The camera of the S7 Edge also features slow motion, fast motion, and panorama shooting options. Google Play, Google’s new Android app that provides free, ad-supported radio services.

Sony XperiaX Performance

Not released yet, the Xperia X Performance is one of the next Sony smartphones being released. It features an incredible 23MP camera, which also has quicker response times that previous cameras and a more intelligent focus. The front facing camera also has 13MP, which will make for much clearer selfies. Its memory storage card also features up to 200GB of memory. With a 5” 1080p display, the Xperia X Performance is going to be one of the hottest smartphones hitting the market in the coming months.

The number of smartphones available could potentially be overwhelming. The important thing to remember is that when it comes to smartphones there is no right and wrong answer. Consumers are free to experiment and test out phones to determine which they are happiest with. From Apple to Samsung, to Motorola and Sony, there are a number of quality manufacturers in the smartphone industry that are all competing to make sure that new features are coming out and that prices stay competitive.
